Gregory A. Maggass, MD
a. Dr. Gregory A. Maggass is board certified in radiation oncology, with a particular focus on the treatment of prostate cancer with both brachytherapy and IMRT/IGRT radiation therapy. Dr. Maggass has extensive experience with brachytherapy treatment using radioactive seeds, otherwise known as Internal Radiation Therapy. He is a pioneer in bringing Brachytherapy to patients in Arizona: Treating prostate, skin, and breast cancers. Dr. Maggass joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in 2012, when his team partnered with the group to strengthen AZCCC's service line in the East Valley. For nearly two decades, Maggass served as the Arizona Oncology Services medical director for the East Valley and has directed the prostate brachytherapy program at Banner Desert Medical Center since its inception.
Dr. Maggass received his degree in medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee. He completed his residency at the University of Southern California Medical Center, where he received specialized training in Brachytherapy.
Dr. Maggass is a multi-year "Top Doc" honoree by Phoenix Magazine, and "Best Doctors in America" honoree by Best Doctors, Inc.
